Home Chef Swedesboro, NJ	Date Posted: Mon, Nov 30, 2009 Recipe Name: Sweet and Sour Pork Chops Description: Ingredients: 8 lean boneless pork chops ½ cup of sugar 1/3 cup cider vinegar 3 ounces pineapple juice 1 tablespoon corn starch 2 teaspoons soy sauce Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste Directions: Mix together the sugar, white vinegar, pineapple juice, corn starch and soy sauce. Bring to a boil in a small heavy sauce pan and cook until clear and slightly thick. Lightly brown the pork chops, seasoning with the salt and black pepper. Cover with the sauce and cook covered over low heat for 50 minutes, turning frequently. Nutritional Info: Servings: 4 Prep Time: 15 minutes
Home Chef Swedesboro, NJ	Date Posted: Mon, Nov 30, 2009 Recipe Name: Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops Description: Ingredients: 1 large sweet onion, chopped 2 tablespoons butter Pinch of thyme 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar ½ cup diced drained canned peaches 3 tablespoons brown sugar 4 pork chops 1/4 cup flour salt and pepper 1 tablespoon olive oil 1/2 cup chicken broth Directions: In a saucepan over medium-low heat, cook onions in butter until golden brown and tender, about 15 to 20 minutes. Add thyme, vinegar, peaches, and sugar. Simmer for 5 minutes. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper then dust with the flour. Arrange in the skillet and brown on both sides. Add chicken broth; simmer covered for 10 minutes, then uncover and continue cooking for 5 minutes longer. Add onion mixture, cover, and cook for 10 minutes longer. Nutritional Info: Servings: 4 Prep Time: 15 minutes

Preparation Instructions:  For best results thaw under refrigeration.  Use within 3 - 5 days.

 

Skillet:  Lightly coat skillet with oil or cooking spray.  Heat pan over medium high heat.  Add product and brown 1 minute per side.  Reduce heat to medium low, cover and cook 6-9 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 150 degrees.

 

Oven:  Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.  Place product on foil lined baking sheet.  Cook 12-20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 150 degrees. Grill:  Spray grill with cooking spray.  Pre-heat grill to medium high.  Grill product 4-5 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 150 degrees.
